Military storm Daily Trust head office in Abuja, cart away commuters, other valuables

In what seems like a return to the dark days of military rule in Nigeria, the Nigerian military this evening invaded the headquarters of Daily Trust Newspaper in Abuja.

An eye witness told Enduringnews that the military who arrived the promises of the Newspaper in a three truck load of soldiers, ordered everyone out before carting away the items.

The source also informed Enduringnews that the military had earlier shut down the Maiduguri regional office of the paper.

Though no official statement from the military high command as to what informed their action, our source said it may not be unconnected with the lead story of Sunday trust which centered on the military.
