Mrs. Dorcas Omeneke Enehe has officially assumed the role of Permanent Secretary in the Kogi State Ministry of Health, calling upon staff members to collaborate with her in advancing the ministry’s mission.
According to By Dorothy Laruba Onoja, Public Relations Officer, of the ministry, Mrs. Enehe made this appeal while taking over from the acting Permanent Secretary, Dr. Barnabas Segun, in Lokoja.
Expressing her gratitude to Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo for appointing her and to Pastor Elijah Evinemi, the state head of service, for his professionalism, Mrs. Enehe also thanked the staff for their warm reception.
She pledged to work diligently alongside them to fulfill the ministry’s objectives under the guidance of Honorable Commissioner Dr. Abdulazeez Adeiza Adams.
Emphasizing the significance of teamwork, the new Permanent Secretary urged staff members to refrain from spreading rumors and instead work together to achieve the administration’s health sector goals.
She commended Dr. Segun for his dedication and promised to build upon the accomplishments of her predecessors.
Dr. Segun, now serving as Director of Medical Services and Training, congratulated Mrs. Enehe on assuming her new role.
He expressed gratitude to the staff for their cooperation and support during his tenure, encouraging them to extend the same level of support to the new Permanent Secretary for her to succeed.
Dr. Segun also revealed that the Ministry is preparing to participate in the upcoming National Council on Health meeting scheduled from November 17-24, 2024.
During this event, the commissioner, Permanent Secretary, and other directors will contribute valuable insights and expertise.
