Kogi State Governor Alhaji Yahaya Bello has said that the renewed wave of criminal activities in Kogi State is unacceptable to his administration, charging security agencies to go after them.
The Governor, while described as heartless, the recent gruesome murder of Alhaji Yusuf Onivehu Adabenege in Okene, vowed that the perpetrators of the heinous crime would be fished out to face the consequences of their action.
In a statement issued by the Director-General, Kogi State Bureau of Information Services and Grassroots Sensitisation, Mr. Abdulkarim Abdulmalik, the Governor expressed dismay over the penchance for criminality in Ebiraland in spite of Government’s efforts aimed at curbing  criminal activities in the state .
While sympathizing with the family of the deceased, he assured them of the State Government’s resolve to ensure that those responsible do not go unpunished.
He described the late Yusuf as an unassuming, active member of the current administration who had, in no small measure, invested his talent and skills to add value to the good of the society and governance.
The Governor called on well meaning members of the society in the fight for a crime-free society.
