Offa Descendants Union elects new excos

Offa Descendant Union (ODU) has elected new executives to pilot the affairs of the union for the next four years.

 

The Electoral Committee which conducted the election in accordance with the ODU Constitution declared Dr. Funsho Rabiu Oladipo as the National President.

 

Others elected are Prof. Tajudeen Olasinde – VP l, Mr. Muideen Adebayo Ibrahim – Gen. Secretary, Alh. Abdulfatah A. Shittu – 1st Asst. Gen. Sec, Alh. Alakija Adewale Abdulmajeed – 2nd Asst. Gen. Sec, Engr. Ajenifuja Maruf O. – Publicity Secretary, Alh. Suleiman Omiyale – Social Secretary, Dr. Olajide Raji – Auditor, Mrs Risikat Shola Raji. Financial Secretary and Mrs Bello Latifah Kemi – Treasurer.

In his acceptance speech, the newly elected National President, Oladipo expressed gratitude to the out-going ODU National Exco for their service to Offa in the last four years.

He also saluted the maturity exhibited by all the delegates and observers before, during and after the 2018 ODU General Election.

 

He added that the outcome of the election should be seen as no victor, no vanguish.

 

He assured all and sundry that the current administration of ODU National Exco, under his leadership with the support of God was prepared to hit the ground running.

 

He added that, under his administration,  ODU shall be run with the fear of God Almighty, passion and that the development and progress of Offa community and her people will always be at the front burner.

Also speaking, the Olofa of Offa, Oba Muftau Gbadamosi Okikiola, Esuwoye II, congratulated the newly elected executives and reminded them of the tasks ahead which require huge sacrifice and dedication.

 

He stated that the newly elected excos sould be prepared to commit their time, energy and  personal resources to the advancement of Offa and her people.
