Okene LGA Apc Stakeholders Meets, Discuss Crucial Party Matters Ahead Of 2023 Elections

The All Progressives Congress (APC) stakeholders from Okene Local Government Area today met to discuss the way forward for the 2023 elections that its campaign season has already started.

The crucial meeting with over two hundred and fifty APC party stalwarts in attendance was converged at Ateba, Agassa, Okene Local Government Area the country home of Alh. Dr. Umar Oricha Shuaibu serving as the Director General, Government House Administration.

Kogi State, the DG also doubles as the APC political leader of Okene Local Government Area. Key government officials attended the all important meeting which was held to discuss the way forward for APC in Okene Local Government Area even as the 2023 elections get closer.

The government officials in attendance ranges from Pharm. Abdulkareem Asuku, Chief of Staff to the Governor, Alh. Jibril Momoh, Accountant General, Alh. Usman Ododo, Auditor General, Local Governments and Alh. Dr. Umar Oricha Shuaibu the Director General, Government House Administration who also served as the host of the event.

Others include: Hajia Mariam Abedoh, Director General, Pension Board, Alh. Abdulmalik Teina, Chairman, Security Trust Fund, Alh. Yahaya Karaku Jimoh and Hon. Mukhtar Bello, Special Adviser, Domestic to the Governor. Also in attendance were Alh. Abdulrazaq Mohammed Yusuf, Chairman, Okene Local Government Area and his Vice Chairperson, Hajia Barikisu Jimoh Enyuse amongst others too numerous to mention.

While delivering his welcome address, Alh. Dr. Umar Oricha Shuaibu welcomed all the APC party Executives who turned out in large numbers to grace the meeting scheduled to map out positive ways for APC to come out with resounding victory in the coming elections.

He thanked all the Ward Chairmen and other Executives plus Women Leaders for their resilience and the noticeable zeal in them which he said is solely geared towards seeing that no stone is left unturned until a resounding victory is achieved for all the fielded candidates of the APC for the 2023 elections.

The Chairman of Okene Local Government Area, Mall. Abdulrazaq Mohammed Yusuf charged all the APC party faithful present that the coast is already clear for APC to smoothly win the elections in Okene Local Government Area and that there should be no cause for alarm as the dividends of democracy will continue to be made available to the people. He thereafter beckoned on Hon. Yakubu Gowon serving as the APC party Chairman of Okene Local Government Area to allow Ward Chairmen, Women and Youth Leaders to relay the problems they are faced with in their various Wards to the top Government Officials who graced the political meeting.

The contributions from them shed more light to some of the problems on ground that needed urgent attention by the appropriate quarters.

Others like Alh. Jibril Momoh, Alh. Yahaya Karaku, Hajia Asmau Gogo Kabiru and Hon. Chogudo Yakubu Musa also chipped in their words of counsel of which those present agreed that same will help to improve the much needed attention needed to be given to the people at the grassroot.

The candidate fielded for the Kogi Central Senatorial election by the APC, Engr. Abubakar Sadiq Ohere who was also present at this gathering of purposeful minds thanked all those in attendance. He pointed out that seeing them as the foot soldiers that will help in reaching out to the people at the Ward levels where politics actually resides is enough a reason for him to know that victory is already sure for the APC.

He added that the different issues of interest and the way forward that has been aired out by the party Executives will be attended to since the reason for calling for a crucial meeting as this is to finding a lasting solutions to issues at stake.

Putting the icing on the cake, Pharm. Abdulkareem Asuku thanked God Almighty for bringing a godly Governor in the mold of Alh. Yahaya Bello for the people of Kogi State and especially the Ebira people.

The Pharmacist cum politician took his time to reel out the genuine and concrete evidence of democracy that is all over the places in Kogi State. He pointed out that all the APC Executives especially in Okene Local Government Area are lucky to be partakers of the godly nature that the Governor has exhibited and still showcasing even now that we are drawing closer to the 2023 general elections.

He added that Gov. Yahaya Bello has been able to deliver the dividends of democracy he promised the people and he is still ready to do more saying, that is why he has fielded good and capable hands in all the positions available for contest during the elections. He added that all hands must be on deck by campaigning with the visible evidence of democracy made available by this government for APC to win gallantly at the polls. He begged all and sundry to show genuine love, concern and unity of purpose as everybody will be carried along down to the Ward levels.

Alh. Dr. Umar Oricha Shuaibu gave the vote of thanks and also prayed that the 2023 elections will be a hitch free one for the APC, a party he said will be victorious in all the positions available for contest. He urged everyone to start campaigning with what the naked eyes can see as the dividends of democracy in this dispensation that Gov. Yahaya Bello is serving as the political umpire of Kogi State. Refreshment was shared and the people dispersed to their various destinations to go and start the necessary politicking and campaigns ahead of the elections in 2023.
