The four months free medical outreach of Rashida Bello Foundation to all the Local Government Areas in the state has ended in Lokoja Local Government Area with success stories.
Over ten thousand vulnerable people across the three Senatorial Districts were said to have benefitted from the program.
The programme which took the medical team to the nooks and crannies of the state touched lives of children, mothers, aged and vulnerable groups.
The programme according to the Founder and Initiator of Rashida Bello Foundation, the Wife of the State Governor Mrs Rashida Bello was designed to meet the health needs of the people especially the vulnerable groups who have no means of accessing health care services.
She added that the foundation through the medical outreach programme has added more value to the health agenda of the state government which is aimed at making health care services accessible to the people.
The foundation she said would continue to assist the less privileged in the society in order to make life more comfortable, adding that healthcare and well-being of the less privileged in the society is paramount to the ideals and vision of the foundation.
In her welcome address, the Wife of the Administrator of Lokoja Local Government Area Hajia Fatima Ashiru thanked the Wife the Governor, Mrs. Rashida Bello for her benevolent gesture through her Foundation, saying the foundation has been able to affect positively the lives of the vulnerable people in the state.
She called on the people to remain supportive of the administration of Alhaji Yahaya Bello in its quest to improve the living conditions of the people.
The program in Lokoja Local Government Area rounded up the first phase of the program in the state.
