Police confirms Killing of Two suspected Kidnappers In Kogi

Two suspected kidnappers met their waterloo in Ajaokuta area of Kogi state on Wednesday as officers of the state police command gunned down two, while three escaped with gunshot injuries.

According to a statement by the PPRO, Kogi State Police Command, DSP William Ayah, the kidnappers, dressed in military uniform, blocked the road but their operation was cut short when men of the anti-crime patrol team of the Nigeria Police swooped on them and engaged the criminals in a fierce gun battle.

“Two of the criminals were killed but three others escaped into the bush with gunshot injuries.

The statement added that the police team are on the trail of the fleeing suspected kidnappers, combing bush areas around the location of incidence.

According to Ayah, the Police recovered two wooden AK47, 25 mobile phones, one First Bank ATM card bearing Mohammed Jamiu and undisclosed sum of money from the criminals.
