The Forum of former political office holders of 21 Local Government Councils who served between 2013- 2016 has described Governor Usman Ahmed Ododo’s victory at the supreme as well deserved.
A statement signed by the Chairman Musa Abdullahi and Secretary Mohammed Idris Omale and made available to Journalists on Tuesday in Lokoja.
The statement noted that the forum was not surprised by the verdict of the Supreme Court, considering the fact that majority of the people of Kogi State overwhelmingly voted for him in the November 11, 2023 governorship election.
The statement further enjoined the opposition groups in the state, particularly the candidate of Social Democratic Party, Alhaji Yakubu Murtala Ajaka to put the poll behind him and support the administration’s commitment to pull the state out of its Social and economic realities
“Now that the legal battles are over, we believe you will fully concentrate on delivering dividends of democracy to the door steps of the people
“While expressing our commitment to give your administration unwavering support to succeed in office, we implore you to carry our forum along in your programs and activities and thrive as much as possible to follow the footsteps of your predecessor, His Excellency, Alhaji Yahaya Bello in clearing balance of backlog of arrears of our salaries and allowances as you promised during our last visit to the former Governor in glass House of Government House
“Thank you immensely as we await unprecedented development of our dear state under your watch based on your track records of achievements.
Kogi is in a safe hand” the forum appeal.
