Second class Royal Father, Asema Uka commends Governor Yahaya Bello for his appointment

The Asema Uka, Otumi/Ajoko- lineages in Adavi Local Government Area, Mallam Nasiru Momoh    has commended the Kogi State Governor, Alhaji Yahaya Bello for upgrading the historical stool to a second class status.

 

The traditional ruler also praised the Special Adviser on Local Government and chieftaincy Affair Abubakar Ohere and all men of goodwill that worked very hard to right the wrong on behalf of the clan.

The Royal Father gave the commendation on Thursday during the presentation of  letters of appointment to the One hundred (100), appointed and upgraded traditional rulers in the state.

He pledged the unalloyed support and commitment of his clan members to the new direction Government of Governor Yahaya Bello.

 

Chief Momoh who was the 23rd Asema Uka, Otumi/Ajoko- lineages in Adavi Local Government Area who was elevated to 2nd class  status has equally promised to mobilize his subjects towards ensuring that there is peaceful coexistence in his domain. .

 

According to him, though his name was erroneously omitted from the initial promotion that was released by the Kogi State Government about two months ago,  he said as peace loving people and one of the dominant clans in Adavi the matter of omission or mistake was adequately taken up with the State Government.

“The Government admitted that there was a mistake and later upgraded the stool to 2nd class.” he said

 

According to him, the Asema Otumi Ajoko is the father’s stool of the Uka clan of Adavi Local Government of Kogi State, noting that it was a grevious oversight for the Government to have promote the stool of the child higher and above that of the father.

 

He also expressed gratitude to the Government for giving attention to all genuine complaints which were corrected especially by also promoting the Fathers stool to 2nd class status.

 

He promised to mobilize his subjects to embrace peace as he described peace as the main ingredients for the development of any society.

He appreciated leaders and members of his clan for the maturity in handling the matter.

He enjoined them to continue to live in harmonious coexistence with people of other clans in the area.
