Senator elect, Oseni for Kogi Central receives certificate of return, calls for team work to build a better Nigeria

The senator elect for Kogi Central senatorial district, Alhaji Yakubu Oseni, has called on all those who contested with him to put the period of electioneering behind them, saying that as  patriotic individuals, they should shun hate speech, rumour peddling and join hands with their God’s chosen leader in building the country.


The senator elect made the call on Thursday in Abuja after receiving his certificate of return from the Independent National Electoral Commission, after haven being declared winner in the February 23rd National Assembly elections.

Recalled that the Nigeria electoral umpire, the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC)  in a historic occasion on Thursday 14th, March presented Certificates of Return to National Assembly members-elect including Alhaji Yakubu Oseni, who would be representing Kogi Central senatorial district in the 9th National Assembly.


The epoch-making event which took place at the International Conference Centre in Abuja witnessed unprecedented influx of high-powered delegations of foreign diplomats, political associates, party stalwarts, Captain of industries and mirage of well-wishers.


While addressing newsmen immediately after  receiving his Certificate of Return, he  dedicated his victory at the polls to Almighty God and his constituents whom he described as resilient in entrusting hum with the mandate.

Speaking further the elated Senator elect said “My special appreciation equally goes to my leader, Governor Yahaya Bello whose belief is to groom generational leaders for positive impacts in the society, his team members, the drivers of the New Direction mandate.


” I call on those who contested and lost in the just concluded election to, as a matter of patriotism, render relevant advice to their representatives in order to advance the course of the society.
