Unpaid emoluments :Workers shutdown National Assembly

Staffers of the National Assembly, under the auspices of the Parliamentary Staff Association of Nigeria, (PSAN), today begun their four-day warning strike as promised

 

The workers blocked all the entrances to the National Assembly Complex in the early hours of Monday preventing anyone from gaining entrance.

 

As at the time of filling this report more security operatives have been deploy to prevent break down of law and order .

 

The Workers also made good their promise by shutting down power and water supplies to the complex.

The action of the workers has also forced banks, restaurants and other businesses within the Assembly complex to close shops.

Petty traders, especially those selling water, soft drinks and snacks are now making brisk business.
