A large members of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in Okehi and Lokoja LGA, on Tuesday turned out enmass for a solidarity rally for Alh. Ododo Ahmed Usman.
The Solidarity Walks in Okehi LGA which lasted for hours was led by Hajia Habiba Onumoko, the Permanent Secretary, Ministry for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs and was organized by the Directors of Local Government, Treasurers, and all other prominent Local Government staffers, had multitude of people who came out in acceptance of the candidature of Alh. Ododo Ahmed Usman.
Hajia Habiba Onumoko said, the rally was staged to express the support of LGA staffers and as well the people of the area to the candidature of Alh. Ododo Ahmed Usman and Comr. Joel Oyibo Salifu.
Comr. Yakubu Siyaka Adabenege (Fancy) while speaking at the solidarity walk appreciated the people. He added that, the large turnout of the people has ascertained that Okehi LGA is now a one party LGA, adding that all opposition parties have had to embrace natural extinction.
“The people of Okehi LGA are for Alh. Ododo because they believe in his personality and leadership acumen. He has worked in close rank with the executive Governor of Kogi State and he knows explicitly where to start from when he eventually becomes the next executive Government of the State”.
In a related development, Comrade Fancy attended another Walk in Lokoja LGA staged by Ebira Vonya Women in Lokoja which has a huge number of women who turned out to show support for the APC candidate.
Comrade Fancy while addressing the group of women, appreciated them for their commitment and gesture towards the task of delivering their polling unit to the APC. He expressed shocked by the crowd that graced the event where he mentioned that the peaceful co-existence amongst the 52 associations under the auspicious canopy of Ebira-Vonya Women Association can not be achieved if there is no unity.
Among other APC stalwarts present in the solidarity walks are the Coordinator of Ododo/Oyibo Connect who also doubles as the wife of Hon. Fancy, the Lokoja LGA Chairman, Hon. Dansebe, The Director General Civil Service Commission, Hon. Adabenege, all the local government DLG’s and treasurers, The EPA Chairman, Honourable Jibo Ibrahim and other prominent members.
