—-as Kogi state police command warns against false alarm
Security operatives of Kogi State Polytechnic, Lokoja have apprehended and handed over one Mr. Isiaka Abdulsamad to the Police for wrongly accusing a staff of the Polytechnic of being responsible for his “missing genitals” (manhood).

Head, Public Relations and Protocol Unit of the Polytechnic, Lokoja, Abdulsamad was in the Main Campus of Kogi State Polytechnic for his Post-UTME examination on Wednesday, 20th September, 2023,
In the course of the examination, he beckoned on one of the invigilators who is a staff of Kogi State Polytechnic to put him through the log-in details for the examination.
He however came back to the Hall after he was through with the examination and raised false alarm that his manhood was missing, accusing the Invigilator who earlier assisted him of being responsible.
The Management of the Polytechnic directed the security unit to transfer the case to the Police for thorough investigation.
Preliminary investigation by the Police and further medical examination carried out at the Police Clinic, proved that Mr. Isiaka Abdulsamad had no problem with his manhood. This confirmed that he fabricated the story in an attempt to gain attention on a trending delicate stories of “manhood theft”.
Mr. Salihu Adamu, a staff of Nigerian Correctional Service who is a relative of Abdulsamad had, on behalf of the family, apologized and pleaded for immediate withdrawal of the case.
Meanwhile, Management of Kogi State Polytechnic has advised the general public to disregard any rumour that a candidate’s manhood was stolen on the campus of the Polytechnic.
The Management has advised members of the public to desist from making false claims on missing genital organs against innocent individuals..
Similarly The Kogi state Police Command has warned those taking the law into their hands over
alleged disappearance of male organs in the state to desist henceforth.
In a statement by SP William Ovye Aya, Police Public Relations Officer, (PPRO), of the command, also cautioned citizens to desist from giving out false alarm.
According to the commissioner, some of the allegations have been investigated by the Police and Medical examination were equally carried out, which he said turned out to be false.
The commissioner therefore warned that anybody caught disturbing the public peace would be prosecuted, in accordance with the law.
