From whatever perspective you choose to look at Engr Mrs. Christiana Ojoyi Omatola, she has made a notable voyage in the Leadership Industry with a class touch. She is one of the most professionals whose efficiency, knowledge, diligence, professionalism and generosity has become definition of standard in the global phenomenon.

For social relevance and societal impact, Engr C.O Omatola made her early childhood education in the St. John primary School, Gboko Benue State in the 1980s from where she proceeded to the Famous St. Ann Secondary School Otukpo in Benue State Nigeria for her secondary education and graduated with the set of 1986.

For further pursuit, she moved to the renowned Benue State Polytechnic Ugbokolo where she bagged an excellent National Diploma result in Civil Engineering in 1989.

In pursuance of her vision in the civil Engineering Profession, she proceeded to Federal Polytechnic Kaduna and obtained a Higher National Diploma in Civil Engineering in 1992.

As if that was not enough, she proceeded to the popular Federal University of Technology, Akure for Post Graduate Diploma (PGD) in Civil Engineering (Water Resource Engineering option).

For career diversification and versatility, Engr Christiana advanced to a very distinguished State University in North Central Nigeria, Kogi State University, Anyigba and bagged Master Degree (Msc) in Environmental Management

In her quest for professionalism and competence, she moved to become a registered member of the Nigerian Society of Engineers (NSE) and also a member of the Nigerian Institute of Civil Engineers (NICE). Christiana joined the Association of Professional Women Engineers of Nigeria in 2019 as one of the pioneer members of the State chapter of the association and today she is the Chairman of the Association of Professional Women Engineers of Nigeria (APWEN) Kogi State Chapter.

To add more value to humanity,
Christiana had her 3 months and 1-year practical engineering industrial training (SIWES) at Benue cement Company Gboko respectively. Her 1-year mandatory National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) was at Kogi properties where she worked as the resident engineer of the Agency. She gained employment into Kogi State teaching service board, and taught briefly at Army Day Secondary Lokoja. She later gained employment with the Kogi State hospital Management Board as head, works and services department in the then General hospital.

With the establishment of Federal Medical Centre in Kogi State in 2000, Christiana was then absorbed into Works and Services Department as head of Civil Engineering unit. In 2006 She became the head of department and rose to become the Director of works in 2020 and the same place she till date.

As the saying goes ” Heroes are made by the event of their time, Engr Mrs Christiana Ojoyi Omatola is an astute brilliant woman, philanthropist, a master planner, tactician of note, a woman of many parts, and a professional with unparalleled virtues.

Conclusively, following her guts to prove that what man can do a woman can do better, she keeps organizing Science and engineering competition amongst the female folks at the secondary schools in Kogi State in order to raise more women Engineers in Nigeria.

In the current global system where knowledge is prized, she has brought to herself the contemporary position of dignity, honesty, integrity, competence, and distinctive administrative fairness. She has truly won a space in the Hall of Fame.

Today, Engr. Mrs Christiana who is a dedicated Christian hails from Ogbadibo Local Government Area of Benue State and she is married to Engr Daniel Okochonu Omatola from Ibaji Local Government Area of Kogi State. The marriage is blessed with children.
