—- CP orders investigation into another police in viral video, alleged of illegal duty.
The Kogi State Police Command, said it has commenced investigation into the alleged clash between the Police and officers of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, (NDLEA), in Lokoja.
In a statement by SP William Ovye Aya, Police Public Relations Officer, (PPRO), of the command, said the Commissioner of Police, Bethrand C. Onuoha, while condemning the incident stated that the clash was avoidable as both personnel misunderstood themselves.
It was was gathered that the operatives of NDLEA trailed the woman who turned out to be the wife of an Inspector of Police attached to Area Command, Lokoja to the Car where it was parked in front of Bishop Delisle College opposite the Area Command Office where the woman was arrested and taken into the NDLEA vehicle.
Aya added that “while the NDLEA personnel wanted to take away the car, one of the personnel on duty at the gate of the area Command Office challenged them that the car belonged to his colleague. But unknown to him that the woman was trailed to the car and equally arrested with a package of substance suspected to be Indian hemp. Immediately a senior officer intervened and brought normalcy while the woman was taken away by the NDLEA operatives without any incident.
‘The Inspector is in custody, he has been defaulted and orderly room trial has commenced.
“To this end, the Commissioner of Police reiterates the Command’s unwavering commitment to sustaining the level of synergy between the Police and other sister security agencies in the State, but advised all especially the junior ones to eschew over zealousness in the course of their duty, please.

Similarly, The Commissioner of Police Kogi State Police Command, has also ordered for an investigation into a trending video where a Police Officer was seen in the pool of his blood as a result of the Political clash in Idah.
According to the PPRO, the Commissioner of Police while also condemning the incident noted that the Deputy Commissioner of Police in charge of Criminal Investigation Department has been tasked to commence investigation.
His word “The CP reiterates the Command’s unwavering commitment to continue to engage the critical stakeholders in Election Security Management to ensure a secure environment for electoral process.
“He added that, the Command is ever determined in providing a level playing ground for all Political Parties as they embark on campaigns, rallies, procession among others.
“He sternly warns would-be trouble makers who are hell bent on causing violence and to undermine the credibility of the electoral process in the State to stay away from such act as the Police in synergy with other Security Agencies in Election Security Management will not hesitate to deal decisively with anyone caught disrupting the electoral process.
