A mammoth crowd greeted the Kogi state Governor, Alhaji Yahaya Bello and the Governor-elect, Ahmed Usman Ododo in Upogoro, the country home of the newly elected governor.

Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, the elated residents who trooped out jubilating to welcome both the incumbent governor and the governor-elect expressed profound enthusiasm and heartfelt support for the two leaders.
Addressing the huge gathering, Governor Bello described Ododo as a worthy successor whose emergence in the November 11 governorship election was widely accepted.
Also in a remark, Kogi State Governor-elect, Ahmed Usman Ododo, expressed deep gratitude to Governor Bello who he said was a pillar of support in his journey.
Various community leaders in Ukpogoro eulogised Governor Bello for choosing a deserving son from their community to serve in his administration, and his successor to govern Kogi State.
