A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress, (APC), from Ajaokuta Local Government Area, Comrade, Abdulraheem Okekenu, has commended Kogi State Governor, Alhaji Yahaya Bello, over the appointment of the former
permanent Secretary in charge of Local Government and chieftaincy Affairs, Hajia Habiba Oyiza Tijani, as the Accountant General, (AG), of the state
In a congratulatory message signed by Comrade Okekenu, he described the Governor as an astute administrator who knows how to put a square peg in a square hole, saying that Hajia Habiba had shown capacity in her previous assignments.
He also commended Governor Yahaya Bello for putting people who has learnt from his purposeful and humane leadership style in positions of authority and trust.
He said that history will be kind to Bello, when he is being remembered as one governor who has raised and empowered people that will continue his good work beyond January 27, 2024.
According to him, governor Yahaya Bello worked harder than any governor since the creation of the state in 1991 in the provision of the needed critical infrastructures, saying that he has laid a solid foundation for the continuous development of the state.
He expressed confidence in the ability of the the Accountant General of the state, Hajia Habiba Oyiza Tijani, to build on the foundation already laid by the administration of governor Bello in transparency and accountability, given her credible track record in the accounting proffession.
Comrade Okekenu noted that as a team player, the new AG has gathered enough experience that will enable her succeed in her new assignment.
Okekenu called on the Staff of the Accountant General’s office to extend to Hajia Habiba Oyiza Tijani the same support they gave to her predecessor.
“I’m confident that Hajia Habiba Oyiza Tijani, will not disappoint the the Governor and by extension, the people of the state.
