As Governor of Kogi State, Bello’s tenure will come to a close on the 27th of January, 2024. However, his indelible legacies will continue to inspire and impact the lives of his people for years to come. We call him our pride because of his remarkable achievements in various domains, particularly in the realm of education.
Under Governor Bello’s leadership, two brand new functional state universities were established in Osara (Kogi Central) and Kabba (Kogi West). These institutions are a testament to his commitment to empowering the youth through education. Additionally, he oversaw the upgrading of the existing Prince Abubakar Audu University in Ayingba (Kogi East), establishing a state-of-the-art university teaching hospital.
Governor Bello’s commitment to improving healthcare delivery in Kogi State is another notable aspect of his legacy. He built a reference hospital in Okene (Kogi Central), which is widely regarded as one of the best and largest hospitals in the entire North Central region of Nigeria.
