Ododo sworn as Kogi governor, reappoint Bello SSG, names Commissioner Nominees, Others

Governor Usman Ododo of Kogi state has announced the appointment of Dr Folashade Arike Ayoade as the Secretary to the State Government (SSG), shortly after his swearing in as Governor of the state.

Recall that Ayoade served in the administration of the immediate past governor, Alhaji Yahaya Bello, as SSG for eight years.

Ododo made the announcement during his inaugural speech, after being sworn-in as the 5th democratically elected Governor of Kogi state, the prestigious Muhammodu Buhari civic center in Lokoja on Saturday.

He also named 16 commissioner nominees to be screened by the State House of Assembly as members of his cabinet.

“I will today be presenting the names of the following nominees to the Kogi state house of assembly for screening and confirmation as members of the Kogi state executive council,” he said.

Many of the nominees were those who served as commissioners in the administration of Bello.

The nominees are:

Farouk Danlami
Salami Ozigi-Deedat
Basiru Abubakar Gegu
Adams Abdulaziz
Joseph Oluwasegun Stephen (JOS)
Muzi Yinusa Abdullahi
Wemi Jones
Rabiatu Okute
Kingsley Femi Fanwo
Fatima Momoh
Mohammed Yusuf
Timothy Ojoma
Sunday Faleke
Abanika Taye
Asiwaju Idris Asiru, and
Mohammed Adbulmutalib.

Governor Ododo also announced the appointment of other key aides.

They are;
Ali Bello – Chief of Staff to the governor.
Hilary Ojoma – Deputy Chief of Staff.
Elijah Evinemi – Head of service.
Jerry Omodara – State Security Adviser
Isah Ismail – Special Adviser on Media
Sulaiman Ibrahim – Director General Protocol.
Oladele John Nihi – Chief Press Secretary
Shaibu Oricha – Director General Government House Administration
Femi Adegboyega – State Legal Adviser
