Kogi Central Think Tank Forum expresses joy over peaceful election, inauguration of Ododo as Kogi Governor

The Kogi Central Think Tank Forum
has expressed joy and appreciation to God for the peaceful Governorship election in the state and successful inauguration of Alhaji Usman Ododo, as the Executive Governor of Kogi State.

The Forum stated this when it
held its annual get-together celebration on Thursday in Lokoja, the Kogi State capital.

The Forum equally used the opportunity to congratulate the newly sworn-in Governor and prayed that God would grant him the wisdom and fear of God to govern the state.

The Forum felicitated with HRM, Alh. Ahmad Tijani Mohammed Anaje, the Ohinoyi of Ebiraland, on his successful enthronement as the Paramount ruler of Ebiraland.

They prayed that the new King will be blessed with wisdom, understanding and sound health to reign and work for the unity and prosperity of Ebiraland.

Speaking during the celebration, the Chairman of the Forum, Comrade Haroun Opotu Yussuff, highlighted several achievements of the Forum within the glorious sixteen years of its existence.

According to the chairman, these achievements include the sensitization and mobilization of the people of Kogi Central Senatorial District on Census and INEC registration exercises, participation and enlightenment of people in Kogi Central to support the election of Governor Usman Ododo,

Othe activities carried out by the Forum are the Sensitization programmes on Radio stations for the political and social awareness of the people of the District.

The chairman noted that the Forum has been at the forefront of campaigning for the revitalization of the Ajaokuta Steel Project and the Itakpe Iron ore Mining project, in a joint efforts with the Ebira People’s Association, EPA,

He said the Forum has equally participated actively in addressing several nagging issues, such as assisting the vulnerable and indigent students from Kogi Central.

The Forum used the opportunity to present a “Blue-Print” prepared for onward presentation to the Governor of Kogi State.

Highlights of the activities was the presentation of an Award of Exceptional Political Leadership to one of its Members, Hon.Prince Bode Ogunmola, Chairman, House Committee on Information, Kogi State House of Assembly.

According to the Forum members, this is in recognition of his excellent style of promoting mutual co-existence for accelerated development in Kogi Central Senatorial District of Kogi State.

He was also recognized for his role in seeing to the welfare of members and neighbours alike.

The occasion was attended by its Members which include, Hajia Maryam Ladi Ibrahim, Moses Onivehi, Steven Yakubu, Alh. Mohammed Baba Sadiq, Alh. Ismaila Abubakar, Emmanuel Boro, Alh. Jafaru Mohammed,

Others are Momoh Steven Aziz, Col. Ajayi Simpa, Prof. Emmanuel Ohize, Engr. Abdullahi Ahmadu, Alh. Momohjimoh Ahmadu and other prominent sons and daughters from Kogi Central Senatorial District.

Special prayers were offered for the peace and progress of Kogi Central in particular and Kogi State in general.
