In furtherance of his earlier promises on Corps Members welfare, the Kwara State Governor, His Excellency governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq on Thursday presented another 500 mattresses to the National Youth Service Corps in the state.
It will recalled that, the governor, towards the end of 2023, furnished the NYSC Permanent Orientation Camp, Yikpata with 500 mattresses to ease the accommodation problem in the camp. The second batch of the mattresses were delivered today.
While delivering the mattresses on behalf of the Kwara government, the Commissioner for Youth Development, Hon. Musa Nafisat Buge said the governor’s gesture is inline with state government obligation as stipulated in the NYSC act.
She further stressed that the Governor Abdulrahman is passionate about youth development and he is willing to always support the scheme to achieve its mandate in the state.
In like manner, the State Coordinator NYSC Kwara, Mr. Onifade Olaoluwa, while taking the delivery, appreciated the State government for the good gesture and assured that the received mattresses would be judiciously put to used.
