The three-member committee appointed by the State government, consisting of the Commissioner for Humanitarian Affairs, Hajiya Rabiatu Okute, the Director-General of the Kogi State Social Investment Programme Agency, Hajiya Aishat Oyiza Omade, and the Executive Secretary of the Kogi State Emergency Management Agency (SEMA), Hon. Muktar Atima, are currently receiving truckloads of Palliatives for unward distribution to citizens.
According to our correspondent, the items were received in presence of security agencies.
Committees comprising government officials, security agencies, and community leaders will be established at the local government level to ensure the equitable distribution of the relief materials.
This is line with Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo’s commitment to ensure transparency and fairness in the distribution of the items to the people of the state.
