The Kogi State Commissioner for Women Affairs and Social Development Hajia Fatima Kabir Buba has donated food warmers, wrappers and cash sum worth millions of naira to Women in Eggan ward under Lokoja Local Government Area of the State.
Speaking at the event, Hajia Buba appreciated Women in Eggan ward and the entire Lokoja Local Government for always supporting the ruling All Progressive Congress, (APC) led by Kogi State Governor Alhaji Yahaya Bello.
According to her, the ruling party has done well in Kogi State in term of education, health, infrastructure, security, and many more, adding that, a vote for Ahmed Usman Ododo and his deputy Joel is a vote for a better Kogi State.
The Commissioner, who was highly elated with the warm reception she received explained that, Kogi remains an APC State, urging electorates not to be deceived by politicians who are vying for the number one seat of the State for their own selfish interest.
Buba averred that, the present administration led by Governor Bello has laid a precedent which should be sustained in Kogi State, stressing that, the people of Eggan ward should come out massively and vote for APC in the November 11 Governorship election.
This according to Buba, will enable the people to have more dividend of democracy, as Youths, Women, will be engaged and empowered for a better Kogi State.
“Am highly elated with this warm reception. Women in Eggan ward have further demonstrated that they believe in APC project and a better Kogi State. It is on this premise, I am saying a big thank you for all your support and prayers for my principal Alhaji Yahaya Adoza Bello to succeed in the last seven and half years.
” As the November 11th Governorship draws closer, we should always have it at the back of our mind that Ododo/Joel is the code. When you are sleeping, eating, walking or doing anything, always think of voting Ododo/Joel who are the destined candidates to consolidate the good work of the present administration.
“Looking at this mammoth crowd who have all come out to grace this occasion, it is a clear evidence that the Governorship election in Kogi State is a walk over for our party APC. Am using this medium to appeal to our Women in Eggan ward to go out their and preach the gospel of employment, good road, health facilities, infrastructural development and many more which Ododo/Joel stands for when they are elected into office.
Responding, some of the beneficiaries who spoke at the event thanked the Commissioner for the items and cash donated to them, reassuring their unflinching support for APC in the forthcoming election.
“We are indeed overwhelmed with the continuous show of love coming from our Mother Hajia Fatima Kabir Buba. Her examplary leadership is highly commendable, that is why we will always follow her footstep.
“Concerning the forthcoming election, it is non-negotiable. It Ododo/Joel of APC and nothing more. We are already mobilizing ourselves to ensure that we deliver 100 percent for Ododo, the flower Boy” She stated.
It was gathered that over 400 Women benefited from the kind gesture of the Kogi State Commissioner for Women Affairs and Social Development Hajia Fatima Kabir Buba.
The event had in attendance Senior Special Assistant, (SSA) to Governor Bello on NGO Hajiya Aisha Gimba, Fatima Saba, Amina Ibrahim, Amina Idris, Ramatu Idris,
critical stakeholders of Eggan community, ward Executives, Women Groups, amongst others.
