Ododo pays condolence visit on Ata-Igala, Idah LG Chair over chairman’s brother’s demise

Candidate of the All Progressives Congress, (APC), in the forthcoming governorship election in Kogi State, Alhaji Ododo Ahmed Usman on Wednesday paid a condolence visit on the paramount ruler of Igala kingdom, the Ata-Igala, HRM Matthew Opaluwa Oguche Akpa ll and his council of chiefs and other traditional rulers from across Igala Land.

The visit was to attend the 8th day Fidau Prayer and to condole with the people of the area over the death of the brother of Idah Local Government Chairman, Mallam Muhammed Odoma.

He was received by the Ata, who admitted that the APC candidate had shown his meekness and kind consideration to the lowly in all parts of the state with the show of grief with the people over the sad event.

Ata Igala expressed appreciation to Alhaji Ododo and his entourage, adding that the Igala people and the entire state have seen that the APC candidate is a good man worthy of the state’s leadership with his show of humility and capacity for empathy and prayed God Almighty to guide Alhaji Ododo in all his endeavours.

Other speakers, including the Chairman of Idah Local Government Area, Hon Abu Odoma, thanked the candidate for his show of love and empathy, and prayed to Allah to grant his brother eternal rest in Jannatul – Firdaus.

He enjoined the people of the area to come together to support the APC and the candidature of Alhaji Ododo Usman Ahmed to ensure the development of Igalaland.

Responding, the APC candidate in the coming election, Alhaji Ododo Ahmed Usman expressed sympathy with the Royal fathers on the death of their illustrious son who has impacted positively on the community and prayed to Allah to grant the deceased eternal rest in Jannatul – Firdaus.

On the APC candidate’s entourage was the State Commissioner for Solid Minerals and Natural Resources, Engr Abubakar Bashir Gegu, the Rector of Kogi State Polytechnic, Dr Salisu Ogbo, the Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Barr. Deedat Ozigi Momodu, and Hon Idachaba Friday.

Also present were Local Government Chairmen across the state.
