Governor Bassey Otu of Cross River State has hailed Chief Mike Ezekhome, a renowned legal luminary and human rights activist on his 66th birthday.
Otu, in a congratulatory message posted on his official Facebook page to celebrate Ezekhome who clocked 66 yesterday, said the legal icon has lived a fulfilled life worthy of emulation with his remarkably significant and enormous contributions to the growth of humanity and societal advancement.
Describing Ezekhome, the Senior Advocate of Nigeria, SAN, as a great blessing to Nigeria and the whole of Africa, the governor said:
“It is with profound happiness and great joy that I wish you a happy birthday on the occasion of your 66th birthday celebration.
“Without any iota of doubt, you are one of Nigeria’s very respected legal icons yet alive. Your personal sacrifice to the down trodden, your towering wealth of knowledge of the laws of the land, represents the hope of countless Nigerians that you have assisted out from the dungeon of hopelessness.
“You are a huge blessing to Nigeria and the entire African continent and for this, we celebrate you immensely.
“As you mark this remarkable age of your impactful sojourn on earth, it is my prayers that the good Lord continue to keep you strong in faith, faithful in service and rooted in your calling.
