Kogi Guber 2023: APC Leaders Visit Ogori-Mangogo LGA, Assure them of Inclusive Governance

In a bid to secure grassroots support for the governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Alhaji Ododo Ahmed Usman, a delegation of prominent political leaders in the administration of Governor Bello, yesterday paid a visit to the people of Ogori-Mangogo Local Government Area (LGA).

Speaking at the event, the Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Barr. Deedat Ozigi Salami opined that the visit was not a political rally but an opportunity to foster and strengthen the relationship between the APC candidate and the people of Ogori-Mangogo LGA.

Barr. Ozigi told the people of Ogori/Magongo that the list of graded and upgraded chiefs from the area had been prepared and would be presented for approval in the next State Executive Council meeting.

In his words, “The primary objective of this visit is to seek and establish a healthy relationship with the people of Ogori-Mangogo LGA and solicit the support of stakeholders for the preferred choice of our party, APC in the forthcoming election.”

In his remarks, the gubernatorial candidate, Alhaji Ododo Ahmed Usman (OAU), expressed gratitude for the warm reception and support from the people of the Ogori-Magongo community.

Alhaji Ododo Ahmed Usman promised immediate provision of a transformer to one of the communities facing power shortage and the commencement of their road project connecting Ogori to Mangogo with the support of Governor, Alh. Yahaya Bello.

He assured them that their concerns and aspirations would be promptly addressed after his successful election, urging them to continue to work for the progress of the party.

The stakeholders of the area in their various remarks appreciated the APC candidate for his promises and immediate donations of transformer.

They described Alh Ododo as a leader that matches his words with actions and they unanimously expressed confidence in his ability to build on the giant strides of Gov Bello.

During the visit, there were prayers and discussions centred on how to deliver victory to APC from the area in the upcoming election.

The dignitaries present at the meeting were: the Royal Fathers of Ogori-Mangogo Council of Chiefs, His Royal Highness, Sam Bola, as well as the Executive Chairman of Ogori-Mangogo LGA, Goke Oparison. The leaders of Ogori Development Union (ODU), Dr Toni Alabi and Magongo Development Association (MDA), Mr. Jordan Akpata were also present.

Other members in the delegation of Alhaji Ododo Ahmed Usman included: Abdulrazak Abdulmutalib, the Commissioner for Energy and Rural Development, Hon. Muhammed Tanko, The Deputy State Woman Leader of Kogi State, APC Kogi Central Zonal Chairman.
